My Favorite Class
My 1939 class in Coalinga, California. I'm fourth from the right in the back row, counting the teacher - I always tried to get as close as I could to the teacher. This was a great group and my favorite class. I hated leaving, and I think they didn't want me to leave. Of course, that was before a big quake leveled the town; all I had, while I was there, was a small shake while I was playing on a concrete basketball court, and I was told that I missed another small one while I was soundly sleeping.
