George H. Greene, Jr.
GEORGE
H. GREENE, JR., 73, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in Houston. He was a
lifetime resident of Houston, graduating from Lamar High School in 1947 and
attended Rice University for 3 years and received his undergraduate and law
degree from University of Texas.
He went to FBI training and began his law practice with Percy Foreman, then went into solo practice.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Martha; son, Steven Travis Greene, Assistant District Attorney for Chambers County; daughters: Stefanie Gammage, Lower School Principal of River Oaks Baptist, and husband, Steve; Georgeanne Greene, clinical social worker in Albuquerque, New Mexico; aunt, Charlotte Anderson of Houston; grandchildren: John and wife Angela, Jason, Katie Greene; Ryan and Mallory Gammage, Mwadi and Lily Juanita Anaya-Greene; great-grandchild, Ezra Greene.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, January 24 at Heights Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2003 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend William Stell officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
